dW : honey, come see whats this?
dS : err i think your water broke.
dW : no pain also. u sure ah?
dS : wait ah, i call doc first.

2 mins later
dS : go change, we need to get to the hospital, doc says water broke.
*dS grabs all bags and equipment to car*

30 mins later
Nurse : duduk dulu. relax. doctor akan jumpa kejap lagi.
dS : wtf? water broke u want me to relax?

Another 30 mins later
Doc : nurse, bawa ke labour room. dS, she's only dilated 3cm, we'll have to wait until 10cm. amazing, for her first kid, by now she should be in pain. her threshhold is quite high.

30 mins later
Nurse : Baring dulu. Nanti kita datang check lagi. dS tolong pergi dapatkan pas untuk berada dalam bilik ini untuk delivery nanti. Takde pas tak boleh masuk.

11th January 2007, 1215am
dW : Honey, I feel like shitting la.
dS : huh? I'll go tell the nurse.
Nurse : oh, agaknya dah nak lahir la tuu.

So the pushing process begun. dW had quite a hard time pushing because she really didn't know how to push. Thank God the doctor and nurse were quite nice and they keep encouraging her. dW tried pushing the usual position as well as lying on her side but Dylan's head would just be right at the entrance without popping out.

After about nearly an hour, the doctor resign and said its taking too long and she'll have to use vacuum as well as make a slight operation to make the entrance bigger. I was shooed out then. Don't know why. All the while I was looking and in a daze. Whenever I tried to help dW, she'll squeeze my hand until my tears shed and she'll go "shaddappppppppppp!!!"

1.38am
Dylan popped out crying. The back of his head had a nice big circle, the vacuum's signature. I wasn't allowed into the room still as they need to stitch dW up as well as clean up Dylan.

Later, she was wheeled to the recovery ward with Dylan by her side and I was sent home because it wasn't visiting hours. I got home at 6am and thought I'll have some time to sleep because visiting hours is at 12.30pm. I was wrong. As soon as i drifted off to sleep, calls kept coming in every 30 mins for 4 hours!!

10am
dW called and said she is too tired. She needs me there to take care of Dylan. So I went. Its like 27 hours since I last slept. dW managed to rest a bit while I tried to feed Dylan with a bottle. Kind of hard initially but we got the hang of it later.

4pm
dW and Dylan were discharged but it took us 2 hours to complete the discharging procedure. We got home at about 6pm where everyone was waiting for us. I didn't sleep until somewhere after midnight.

Observation
1) Dylan can turn to his side on his own to sleep on his 2nd day.
2) Dylan pretends to sleep, but he peeks every once awhile to see if someone is there with him. If no one, he will cry.
3) Dylan is very curious. Even when he is drifting to sleep, if we talk, he will try to open his eyes to look which is darn cute.
